Nuvi 350 and Trip Profile
I know that some of the other models of Garmin GPS receivers will let you save the profile (lat,lon,ele) for a trip, but my nuvi 350 doesn't seem to have that feature. Does anyone know of a way to get the nuvi 350 to do that? I've noticed that there are a lot of tricks that are undocumented and it seems like this should be available some how, for example commanding the unit to save a custom POI periodically on a calculated route.

To save Long, Lat & Elev when you are at that location from main menu select:
Where to?
select "My Locations", and then
"My Current Location" and then Save
saving coordinates for lat and long
You did look far enough on your new Nuvi. I have the same unit and love it. To set and save any lat or lon that you want to to "where to" and click the "down arrow" three times. The very last item on the last page is coordinates. You can change them and then click "next". That will take you to a page that allows you to "save" the new lat and lon. Good luck.
