Generator failure
I'm trying to create a GPI for Virginia for my nuvi 750 - all of it if I can since I'll be driving there for vacation next week.
Is this too big or what am I doing wrong?

I think I understand what you did
Ed, I think I reproduced what you did. You probably didn't click in the check box in the second part of the GPIgen tool when you select whether you want the audio cued version of the GPI file or just the POI. To be more explicit, on the second screen of the GPIgen tool you must select one of two boxes. The first box only enters the coordinates of the location in the GPI file. (similar to traditional point of interst files except it's a GPI so it gives you the distance info on your Garmin device) The first box is useful if you only want to find the location and you don't want a GPI file that includes the audio (the file is much smaller) The second box includes the auto and makes it an bonafide GeoTourGuide where the audio will play within the proximity specified. I tried it without checking a box and it gives the error you describe. When I check one of the boxes, it works as advertised. I'll fix the tool to make appropriate assumptions so it won't happen again. Thanks for the feedback.
