Not all TourGuides available in Create Custom GPS Tour?

Hello, I recently registered and like this site a lot. I have created a custom GPS tour from the site’s existing tours, and it worked great when I tested it. I ran my Nuvi 660 (with a CN Europe map card) in simulator mode with my new location set closer to the area I want to visit in order to see the files I uploaded. Specifically, I'm in Colorado and I couldn't see the POI files for Prague as the location was too far away (over 5000 miles) to show up in the Garmin yet. In simulator mode, I searched for London (arbitrary choice) and set it as my new "set location". Then under my Custom POI's, the Prague info showed up, and I could play with the tours.

My question is this:
For the Notre Dame Paris.GPI (for example), I couldn't see it under the list of tours available under the "Create Custom GPS Tour" button. But it shows up under the "Tour Directory" list, along with several more tours. At this time, The Create Custom GPS Tour area had 112 Europe tours; and the Tour Directory showed 139 for Europe. Any help would be appreciated to get around this as I would like to group more into a bundle.

Thanks

Good Question

That is a good question. The site in the beginning was a place where people could share .gpi files usually created using the Garmin POILoader software. Once the GPI Generator tool was created, people could upload their audio to the site and the GPI files get created on demand. However, many of the original tours that were only available as .GPI files (instead of audio files ) were still left around. Rather than take them off the site, we added them to the directory. You can still download them, just click on the tour name in the directory and there will be a link to the .GPI file for that tour. The only drawback is that each tour is it's own .GPI file rather than having all the tours you would like in one file.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, your answer is

Thanks, your answer is helpful and explains what happened. I will load them individually - no problem, I was just looking for a shortcut, I guess. At least multiple GPI files can reside on the Garmin.

Thanks
