Australian Audio Guides
Hello I am from Australia and I work at Office Works so we deal with GPS sales there. I however have only seen a GPS working once and I am impressed at what they offer to the world. Recently a GPS group came to my work and gave a lecture on Geo Taggin using photos... which made me thing would it not be great to have Audio tours.. Since I was a Tour Guide for many years and know my state very well.. I believe I have enough knowledge to do several tours on my state, with government grants and tourism backing I want to bring this to Australia. Do I need some sort of liscence and can anyone give me an idea as to whether this is a good buisness?? I dont want to go broke and I want my state to be visited more to inject funds into the areas.
Any information on the best way to setup this buisness would be very helpful :)

Great! I know there have been quite a few GPS users from Australia on this site. It's easy for you to post a tour on this site. Probably a good way to check interest. I know that the admin and let you know how many people have downloaded it. TO post a tour on this site, just record an MP3 from your computer or any other source (tape,etc) and upload it and save the lat and long and others can download it to their GPS devices.
I don't know about business licenses for Australia but audio tours can be quite lucrative depending on how many people want to go and learn about the place you're promoting.
